Both men and women want a flat stomach. It is a sign that we take care of ourselves and that we are healthy. The weight loss industry is a multi billion dollar industry claiming they have the latest and greatest quick fix for that ever evasive washboard stomach. Stop wasting your money on all those magic pills and start eating the foods mentioned below.
10. Oatmeal – Oatmeal is a great way to start the day. It is rich in fiber and takes longer to digest so you feel full. When choosing oatmeal, don’t choose the pre-sweetened kind. Choose the one without added flavors or sugars and sweeten it with banana slices and or berries.
9. Nuts and Seeds – Almonds, walnuts, pistachios, flax seeds, pumpkin seeds and any other seed or nut helps you keep your abs slim by keeping it full and are filled with healthy minerals and oils. Experts have recommended that you eat 24 almonds every day to satisfy your hunger pains. By doing so you won’t overload on calories. One thing to note, stay away from the pre-salted nuts and seeds. They are high in sodium and are not good for your blood pressure.
8. Meat – When I say meat I mean white meat or lean meat. This is the best type of meat to help keep your abs flat. Free-range chicken, grass-fed beef and fish are all scientifically proven to help burn fat. A recent study showed grass-fed beef contains natural CLA (conjugated linoleum acid). Forget about taking CLA supplements. The science community has not been able to replicate the naturally occurring ones and have more side effects than benefits. One last note, your body will burn 30% of its calories after eating protein-rich foods.
